Students learn how to summarize research and identify problems, contributions, evidence, and meaning of their own and other research.
Students learn how to focus and make reading active (without getting lost in details) and analyze and summarize other people's research.
Students learn how to perform a thorough literature search using the proper resources and processes, and how to organize their discovered articles.
This exercise helps mentors teach their students how to read and analyze someone else’s code.
This resources is based on the findings of the Learning through Evaluation, Adaptation, and Dissemination (LEAD) Center which was an evaluation conducted of the DREU program. It will assist DREU/CREU mentors in providing a successful mentoring experience for their students.
